The Asian American Federation (AAF) collaborated with the Nonviolent Peace Force to provide de-escalation and situational awareness safety training for AAC patrol members. Both AAC patrol members and student volunteers actively participated in this event. As an organization dedicated to community volunteer service, AAC aimed to learn how to protect themselves and minimize escalating situations in complex and ever-changing environments. They also sought to enhance their ability to promote community safety. The training emphasized the concept of "Hope Against Hate" to combat discrimination and foster unity within the AAPI community. In the future, AAC hopes to have more community engagement in their activities, benefiting the AAPI community and furthering their role as a bridge between the community, local government, and mainstream society.

Alongside other AAPI organizations and community members, the AAC marched in a parade that showcased AAPI culture and emphasized their integral role in the American experience. With AAC volunteers ensuring safety and order, the event proceeded smoothly. The parade served as a platform to highlight the accomplishments and contributions of the AAPI community, while AAC student volunteers played a crucial role in making the festivities a resounding success. The AAC takes pride in its contribution to the parade, fostering greater understanding and appreciation of AAPI cultures and their significant impact.

We had another annual AAC charity dinner. AAC members celebrated their dedication, love, and belief, for guarding the safety of our community. We spent an unforgettable and enjoyable night. The singing was heartfelt. The dancing was beautiful. The JD drum was touching. Everyone was moved by the dedication of the team members tonight. Thank all the team members for their hard work.
In 2023, we will continue to go better, higher and farther for our mission. Let us pray together for the bright tomorrow of AAC. We will become a much bigger family, to further fulfill our commitment and aspirations to the community! We are so grateful to you all, for all your supporters in the year of 2022. Tomorrow we will continue to patrol on the street of our neighborhood. Please join us, for we have the same mission together.
On October 29, 30 of our AAC members with 10 students and 20 adults contributed to our community by handing out free lunches to people in the community. The event was held in front of the Queen's Public Library on main St. In the beginning, we handed out flyers to fellow pedestrians while the table was being set up. Then all our members gathered up again and we all got different tasks. Some handed out free lunches, some set up the food, others controlled the lines of people and one person made announcements. This was a very successful event, as me handed out 200 lunches and got praise from community members. We even let children participate in AAC to give a share of love to the community, so they can have the best experience in growing up. When the children grow up they look back on the process of serving the community and leave a legacy at that time. The Volunteer certificate is a symbol. The proper process is giving love, the beauty left in the course of life is precious. We need children to grow up in sunshine and love. Our children are the most caring part of American society!
我们是华裔美国人-所以必须参与选举;
On October 10, we took 30 of our student volunteers and 15 adult volunteers to visit the 9/11 memorial. Our team visited the museum so we could learn about the cause of the terrorist attack and the effect it had on America. We wanted to show students how Asian Americans were also greatly affected by the attack. During the tour, we talked and discussed the displays. The foundation of the twin towers, metal beams, and rocks gave us an idea of how serious and tragic this attack was on New York. We then went into a photo gallery in which we walked around looking at the photos of the deceased victims. This was an emotional place. We wanted our students to see that Asian Americans were also victims of this tragic attack, and to teach them why our team is here to protect Asian Americans. The next gallery we visited showed us videos, pictures, and personal belongings from the day the terrorists struck. Our team saw the planes crashing into each other and the destruction of the Twin Towers. We learned that millions of people were affected on that day; first responders, rescue workers, volunteers, victims, and families of survivors. We wanted to teach the children about this horrible attack, as the AAC wanted everyone to know, to honor, and to respect the victims of this tragedy. AAC wanted the students to learn that this is just the past and that we can work together to protect each other. 9/11 is an example that teaches our team to protect the people of our community. We intend to teach this message to remember this part of history and work together to prevent this from happening again.

An integral part of you, an important part
Thank you for everyone’s support of the AAC. In fact, the heart of our first generation of pure children is for the future. Everyone is arguing about the politics of today, but we are all wrong. If you ignore all the future generations, the second generation, the third generation, what future is there? The political legacy is based on this: when you come to the United States, you are Americans, no matter where you come from. You share the pain, and the good fortune. Everyone sees you all as a family. Why must we divide everyone? Me and him - different people, people with high and low levels, and people with regional divisions, minimizing their own interests and maximizing all differences, thus sacrificing our second generation and all the future. Everyone thinks the AAC should be passed down to the best. Everyone, regardless of each other's high or low, be a convincing reality and tell the children that we have struggled, just for this political legacy: the future of the children, there is nothing to worry about. The starting point of all of them is the simplest: our own community, the bridgehead of the Chinese, is difficult to regain after it is lost! A lot of things can only be done first. It is always right to do well and be successful. Everyone can be picky and it is right: where the overall situation is, who will control the ups and downs? We are Chinese American!
On July 16th, Asian American Cohesion (AAC) members went to The Olde Towne of Flushing Burial Ground. There, they gathered with student volunteers and helped Burial Ground staff with weed control and gardening. Many people, including New York City council member Sandra Ung, participated. At a time of a lack of human resources, the burial ground really needed our help, and we were gratefully thanked by their kind staff. The event after around 2 hours when councilwoman Sandra Ung gave a speech that thanked the AAC for helping and contributing to community efforts and encouraged the preservation of the environment and our infrastructure.
Asian American Cohesion (AAC) and Soar Over Hate (SOH) collaborate to distribute resources to members of the Flushing community. The team provided hand sanitizers and personal alarms to everyone. Student leaders and members of Soar Over Hate (SOH) worked in small groups to teach everyone the mechanics of the alarm and how to use it. AAC staff took an active role in overseeing the student leaders and SOH members as they interacted with the public to ensure their safety. The emergence of the Covid-19 crisis has significantly skyrocketed the number of reported hate crimes and it is AAC’s mission is to promote a safe and non-discriminatory space for everyone in this community. The distribution of the alarms allows community members to alert people in a close proximity that they’re in need of assistance or medical attention. The team passed out a total of 4 boxes of hand sanitizers and over a hundred personal alarms to the public. In addition to this the team passed out flyers about volunteer opportunities and scholarship information. The distribution of sanitizer helps provide the community with sanitary items as we proceed to live in the midst of a pandemic. While the rules and regulations of the pandemic are not as heavily enforced, sanitary items are still necessary. As the Asian American Cohesion (AAC) and Soar Over Hate (SOH) members return to AAC’s office they’re provided lunch and English lectures. The lecture plays an important role in the cohesive AAC community and it breaks the language barrier between staff and student leaders. The Chairman highly encourages learning and utilizing multiple languages as it broadens available opportunities. AAC hopes to expand the safe and diverse environment of our team to our entire community. We are actively encouraging people to join our big family and to take initiative and further improve the safety and cohesion of our community to make it a much more developed space for everyone and future youth.
A very special and meaningful Father's Day: Thanks to Flushing City Councilwoman Sandra Ung and Alex for their support and participation. We train children to start from the community around them, grow up in the community, care for and love their own community, and then in the future, like Sandra Ung, return to the community and serve their community. AAC is committed to providing the safety of the community, and it must also strive to promote Asian youth to be based on their own homes, love and protect the community, and strive to become the pillars of the community's development and growth, and our ethnicity will have more hope. Starting from the children, there will always be a bright future [rose] [proud] Happy Father's Day to all AAC team members, parents of student volunteers, and supporters.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul and her team came to Queen's College to deliver keynote speeches on community safety, urban security, and statements against discrimination and hate in our neighborhoods. With Congresswoman Grace Meng and the city government, they announced legislation and appropriation plans today. These leaders are comprehensively improving the governance system and strengthening the development of mental health education and treatment. The AAC Community Patrol, which constantly works for ensuring community safety and ethnic integration, took part in this event. Judging by the basic policies of the municipal and local governments and the future direction of public security work, preventing further Asian discrimination and hate crimes will continue to be the focus while it will be a top priority to ensure urban safety and community harmony. The AAC will sustain its work to adhere to core values, partake in future activities and gatherings, and make every effort to help maintain the safety, prosperity, and harmony of our communities.
